You, the donor, provide Goldman Philanthropic Partnerships (GPP) with the financial resources to match the funding we secure from research institutions for research projects that accelerate cures for cancer and other diseases.  If you would like a more in-depth look at how we operate, we have a number of business documents available for review on our documents page.

The GPP approach combines the best of medical research with modern financial management, creating "Inspired Ventures" that push the envelope of medical research while retaining financial responsibility and proper project management.

When you pledge financial support to GPP, you:

1)  Support specific, scientifically-sound, innovative research.  Your donation funds a specific research project at a major institution.  These ground-breaking research projects seek to increase patient survival rates and create cures that can be transferred to other diseases.  Research institutions find it difficult to fund projects like these all by themselves, but with your matching support you provide these creative scientists with the chance to help so many others.

GPP continually identifies qualified research projects at world renowned research institutions.  First, the projects are validated by the institutions themselves. GPP then requires sponsoring research institutions to co-fund 50% of cost of the projects, which further assures that the projects are worthy of research. Next, independent scientific experts review each project before they are presented to GPP donors, completing the double validation process.

Once our donors are involved, we call the partnerships between donors, scientists and research institutions "Inspired Ventures", the perfect mix of entrepreneurial vision, medical technology and modern financial management available today. You can make your donation to any of the GPP reviewed research projects.  Or, under certain circumstances, you may ask GPP to find a research project geared toward a disease of your choice.

2)  Share in the excitement and the reward.  Unlike other philanthropic organizations, GPP gets the donors, researchers and institutions involved with each other.  As a donor, you can have the opportunity to meet the researchers and visit the research facilities.  You will meet and interact with the other donors funding the same project as you, and with donors funding other projects.

3)  See the progress and establish financial accountability.  When you pledge financial support to a GPP project, you receive quarterly reports detailing the researcher's progress, what advances have been made, and the next steps in the research.  This allows you to see exactly how your donation is contributing to medical research.  It also allows you to see if, how and when donors should fund the next step in the research project.

GPP donors direct their pledges to the research of their choice, become involved in the research as it progresses, and see the progress through quarterly progress reports.
